4300 Series LaserSource

The 4300 Series LaserSource laser driver is an excellent solution for medium power applications, such as high power pump lasers, freespace lasers, and high power fiber-pigtailed devices. It would also fit well with many of the high power LED devices. It's compact enclosure means it takes up very little of your workspace, and it's price offers an excellent value. We have many customers that have switched to the 4300 after years of using other products, and discovered what we've said, which is why spend significantly more when you can get the same performance for fraction of the price?

The LaserSource has features you would expect from a laser driver, such as safety interlock, ESD protection, and hardware limit circuits for current and voltage. In addition, the LaserSource has unique features not found on competing products including optically isolated photodiode and modulation inputs, programmable PD bias, and a constant voltage control mode.

The 4300 also offers an optional Quasi-CW (QCW) mode, a feature only found on units costing several times as much. With QCW mode, you can operate the device at a low duty cycle, which mitigates the thermal loading on the device and allows you to run at higher output powers than would otherwise be achievable with CW operation. With the special measurement circuitry in the 4300, measurements can be taken even in QCW mode, something not possible when externally triggering a laser driver using a squarewave input on the modulation port.
