The 224 TEC TO-Can LaserMount provides active TEC cooling for TO-5.6 or TO-9 lasers. The device is inserted into a socket and clamped to the cold plate by a machined stainless steel bracket.
The 224 is designed for post-mounting (post-mount not included), with 8-32 and M4 threaded holes on the bottom of the mount.
CAGE and Lens Tube Systems
The 224 directly supports 30mm cage systems, with or without the standard cover installed. Looking to integrate 1" lens tube optics? Add the 224-C-02 Opto-Mech Cover, which adds suport for 1" lens tube systems and also supports 30mm cage systems.
Fiber Pigtailed Cover
For fiber pigtailed lasers, you can use the 224-C-03 Fiber Pigtail Cover, which provides a large opening to clear the housing of most fiber pigtailed lasers.

A cover plate is included to minimize the impact of air thermal gradients on the temperature of the device. A nitrogen purge nipple on the side of the mount can be used to prevent condensation when operating below the dew point. A 4mm banana jack on the side of the mount provide a convenient wrist strap connector, or can be used to ground the mount to an optical table.
The 224 requires no wiring to configure it for your device. Instead, there are two switches to configure for either common anode or common cathode, and a third switch to optionally earth ground the case of the laser.
DB-9 & DB-15 Interfaces
The laser driver and temperature controller connections are made through a DB-9 LDD and a DB-15 TEC connector on the back of the mount, which allows for quick connections to any Arroyo Instruments controllers.
The mount uses a 10K thermistor for temperature feedback. More details on working with thermistors can be found here.
