Statement of Compliance

On January 6, 2021, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published final rules under Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Section 6(h) to restrict the importation and use of five persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic (PBT) chemicals. The final rules took effect on February 5, 2021.

The new rules restrict the use of five PBT chemicals, which may be found in a wide range of components and products. The final rules impact the manufacture, importation, processing and/or distribution in commerce of the following five chemicals:

  • 2,4, 6-tris(tert-butyl) phenol (“2,4,6-TTBP”).
  • Decabromodiphenyl ether (“DecaBDE”).
  • Hexachlorobutadiene (“HCBD”).
  • Pentachlorothiophenol (“PCTP”).
  • Phenol, isopropylated phosphate (3:1) (“PIP (3:1)”).
